Yes, you should. It's a must. If you don't, the gods will, no doubt, be angry with you. After all, it is their gift, and gifts cannot be refused.

Oh, and the upside is simple: they get more funds to buy new big guns and planes and tanks and all that stuff. I can see them smiling their little faces off.
